Advanced Renewable Power supports local children in ‘Junior Warden Scheme’ 2012

The Thockley Junior Wardens were formed in 2012 to encourage young children to engage with projects that support the local community and natural environment.

14 boys and girls between the ages of 12-15 volunteered to join the programme which was run by the Council Community Warden Team.  The youngsters were provided with a constructive programme that provided useful experience, insights and skills that could help them see a brighter more socially engaged future.  Activities included: road safety course, first aid training, tree planting, litter picking, organised visits to: recycling centre, sports centre, police and fire stations.

Advanced Renewable Power wants to support & encourage people doing positive things for the environment and their community.  We provided a £120 of Metro Centre or Eldon Square gift vouchers for each child that successfully completed the programme and two special prizes for the best boy and best girl.

ARPower are proud to hold an Annual Corporate Partnership with the Woodland Trust. We offset the CO2 emmissions caused by our business operations by supporting the charity to plant more trees. By turning carbon into woodland we are doing our bit for the environement.
