Tesla Powerwall batteries are an excellent way to make better use of the energy produced by your solar panel installation.
Without a battery storage solution added to your solar PV system, you can only use the energy they produce as and when its produced.
However if you install a battery storage solution like a Tesla Powerwall, you can store energy to the battery and use it in your home at night, rather than using power from the grid, saving you money on your energy bills.
You can also charge your Tesla battery from the grid if you choose to do so, as having this extra power source can keep your home powered for a period of time in the event of a power outage.

Terms & conditions: This is price is subject to technical survey and the following caveats: It excludes G99 DNO fee which may be charged and is at the power grid’s discretion. Grid application can take up to 45 working days to be approved. A deposit will be payable before the work is carried out. The Tesla Gateway is installed in close proximity to the incoming electrical supply. The Tesla battery is installed in an accessible location, taking into account its weight. The battery is installed within a reasonable distance from the Tesla Gateway (within 10m). The cable run between the Gateway and Battery is practical and surface mounted. There is an Internet connection within the property at the time the battery is installed. Maximum of one days labour per install. An allowance has been made for one standard domestic earth rod, on the odd occasion that this does not suffice, there would be an additional charge of £150.
