The environment matters to everyone at AR Power and we do what we can to help make a difference.
Every employee is encouraged to help in the local community as volunteers, whether it is assisting at charity events, organising walks to promote mental health awareness, or to help clean up our local area making it safer for everyone, including the wildlife and environment.
Recently, several members of the team descended on Timber Beach in Sunderland to take part in a litter pick to help clean up the area near the Northern Spire Bridge.
This was co-organised with Climate Action North who we proudly sponsor, and Swiftwater Solutions.
In just 1 hour, the team, along with other volunteers, managed to fill 15 bags of rubbish which had been caused by tidal surges.
Adam Black, Project Manager at AR Power said “AR Power gives it’s employees paid leave to take part in events like this and make a difference which is amazing. This is a great way to help in the local community. The team really enjoyed taking part and help clean up the local area. Litter picking, although it seems quite mundane, I found it to be therapeutic and quite rewarding, and would certainly like to do more in the future.”
Well done Adam, Robert Casey, Sam Pittiglio and everyone else involved for helping make this area cleaner.
