In March, we won SME of the Year at the North East Automotive Alliance Awards, and as part of winning the award we were able to nominate a school of our choice to receive a cash donation of £2,000 to put towards STEM initiatives.
The school we nominated to receive to donation was Our Lady Queen of Peace School in Penshaw.
Our Technical Director Mark Dunville and Marketing Manager Will Illingworth visited the school in April and were joined by Laura Gage and Stuart McGivern from the North East Automotive Alliance to hand over the £2,000 cheque.
The prize money will be spent on projects and equipment for activities to help bring on the next generation of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics professionals.
Our team were delighted to present the cheque to the school and talk to 50+ children about solar and how it can help provide a cleaner and more sustainable future for everyone.
