We are extremely proud to be sponsoring a local children’s football team for another season.
North East Sporting Club offer football locally in North Tyneside to children and adults between the ages 6 – Senior years with over 14 Teams and over 210 Players.
Their aim is to ensure that every child gets a positive, safe, fun and developmental introduction to sport and exercise without fear of failure. The football club was created to give the kids the game back.
In 2023, we were approached by Adam Black, our Project Manager and under 9’s coach, to see if we would be able to sponsor the under 9’s team, and we jumped at the chance, becoming their main sponsor.
Our sponsorship meant they could buy new home and away match day strips.
With the new season upon us, We were asked to sponsor the club for another season, and we happily agreed, helping cover the cost of new strips as well as the signing on event arranged by team coaches, Adam and Steve.
The signing on event was held at St James’ Park, where the coaches had booked an Executive box for the players and parents to attend. They were told where to go and at what time, but didn’t know what was happening.
The vision was to mirror a Professional club signing on experience for the players, making being part of the club and team as authentic, special and memorable as possible.
The coaches opened with an introduction, information about the upcoming season, then played a video featuring good luck messages from Chris Balmer, Operations Director AR Power, Keith Downie, Sky Sports News, Loic Remy, Ex NUFC/Chelsea Striker, Justin Lockwood, NUFC Stadium Announcer, Anthony Hutton, Mental Health Ambassador, Adam P, YouTuber, and Lewis Brooks from Football Scouting NE.
The players then sat at the table with their family members to sign on, having photos taken by professional photographer, Ian Sproat, then being presented with their new kit by Maria Dunville, Finance Director at AR Power.
After the ceremony, the team went to Shearers bar at the stadium for pizza and soft drinks on AR Power.
Overall, a very successful event which we are sure the kids and parents will remember forever.
