We are delighted to announce that we have won the SME of the Year award at the North East Automotive Alliance Awards 2025.
The awards were held at the Ramside Hotel and Spa in County Durham on Thursday 27th March.
This is a true testament to the hard work that has gone into creating the AR Power that we have today. We have significantly evolved over the past 18 months with our people being at the core of everything we do.
✅ 12% of our employees are apprentices.
✅ We’ve heavily invested in training programs empowering our team with knowledge and skills.
✅ We have increased the holiday allowances for all employees.
✅ In a recent employee survey 100% of employees would recommend working at AR Power.
✅ We support many NEAA members in their sustainability journey and help many maintain their members’ systems.
✅ Solidifying our dedication to quality, safety and the environment, we have gained our ISO 9001, 14001 and 45001 certifications.
✅ Introduced a brand new Operations & Maintenance division creating more jobs and additional services for those with Solar.
✅ We have made several key appointments over the past year including a Head of Commercial, Technical Manager, and HSE manager.
✅ We have continued to support the local community with sponsorships and environmental initiatives including beach cleans and tree planting at schools.
✅ We strive to do what we can to support STEM events with employees attending schools and colleges to provide talks to students.
When applying for the award, we were able to nominate a school of our choice to receive £2,000 to put towards STEM projects, and we are pleased to be donating the money to Our Lady Queen of Peace in Penshaw, Houghton-le-Spring.
