An electronics company based in Sunderland have installed 42 solar panels to their facility to reduce operational costs and to become a greener operation.

Set up in 2000, Neutronics NE Ltd are electronics repair specialists offering both on-site and back to facility repair services to companies across the globe. They also offer servicing, supply, system integration, migration, programming and supply of obsolete parts.
The company’s fleet of vehicles consists of predominantly electric vehicles, and they wanted to take their next step to a greener future by installing commercial solar PV panels to their facility in South Hylton.
The 17.43 kWp system consists of 42 panels and will generate 16,044 kWh of energy for the company each year. They will consume 77.8% of what is produced, and their carbon footprint will also be reduced by 3,610 kg CO2e on an annual basis.
Most commercial solar installations take at least 9 weeks to receive approval from the distribution Network Operator (DNO) however due to this installation being under 50kWp, we were able to fast track this installation and have it installed within 2 weeks of the contract being agreed.
